Abstract

In this study, issue management was used to respond and manage the issue of school closure that afflicted Purnama Vocational School Tempuran Magelang. There are main focuses that will be the study of the author in this study. how is the issue management carried out by the Tempuran Vocational High School in dealing with this issue. This research is qualitative, revealing in detail about the application of issue management conducted by the Purnama Tempuran Vocational School. The subjects of this study were the principals, public relations and teachers of Purnama Tempuran Vocational School. To answer this problem the data is collected through observation and interviews. The results of this study indicate that where as in dealing the issues, the Purnama Tempuran Vocational School conducted clarifications submitted by the principal through the mass media, and made programs aimed at changing the issue, of course, at the same time improving / building the image of Purnama Tempuran Vocational School, as for the following programs: intensive coaching to Purnama Tempuran Vocational students, marketing and conducting media relations
