The issue of bank interest is an issue that continues to be debated in Islamic economic discourse because it is related to the practice of usury, the development of the modern financial system, and the public's need for banking institutions. This research uses a qualitative approach with a type of library research and a normative-philosophical approach. Data were obtained from official documents of Muhammadiyah, fatwa of the Tarjih and Tajdid Councils, scientific journals, books, and relevant academic articles. The data collection technique is carried out through documentation and literature study, while the data analysis technique uses data reduction, classification, interpretation, and drawing conclusions in a deductive-analytical manner. The results of the study show that Muhammadiyah views bank interest as an ijtihadiyah issue that is decided through the bayani, burhani, and istislahi approaches. Muhammadiyah tends to prohibit bank interest because it is considered to have additional elements that are close to usury, but still considers the benefits and socio-economic conditions of modern society. The findings of the study show that there is a moderate ijtihad pattern of Muhammadiyah that seeks to integrate normative texts with contemporary economic realities. This research contributes to the development of an Islamic economic ijtihad methodology that is more adaptive to the dynamics of the modern financial system.
Ana Cahayani Fatimah Waode Kasriawati Bakari Fatmawaty Padedeng Suwarno Djodding Mahsyar Idris Copyright (c) 2026 Ana Cahayani Fatimah, Waode Kasriawati Bakari, Fatmawaty Padedeng, Suwarno Djodding, Mahsyar Idris https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-08-06 2026-08-06 6 1 11 23 10.51192/jurnalmanajemenpendidikanislam.v6i1.2694 EPISTOMOLOGICAL APPROACH AND FIQH TEACHING: BAYANI, BURHANI AND IRFANI CONCEPTS APPLIED AT THE TERTIARY LEVEL https://jurnal.iuqibogor.ac.id/tadbiruna/article/view/2502
This research aims to explain the concepts of bayani, burhani and irfani which are integrated into fiqh learning in the Al-Islam muhammadiyahan course at UMJ. The results of the study indicate that: 1)Internalization of Aswaja values ( tawassuth, tawazun, tasamuh, i'tidal ) functions as a governance principle that frames decision-making and organizational culture. 2)The organizational structure and governance are hybrid, combining the moral-charismatic authority of kiai with the formal governance of the foundation and the differentiation of educational units. 3) The Kiai's leadership pattern is charismatic - participatory through deliberation and delegation of authority in a synergistic relationship with the foundation and unit leaders. 4)The implementation of management functions (planning, organizing, implementing, monitoring-evaluation) is carried out systematically within the framework of Aswaja values with administrative and moral accountability. 5)The modernization adaptation strategy takes place selectively through strengthening accreditation, limited digitalization, improving human resources, and quality management, without eliminating the NU identity
Rd Khilal Abdus Salam Abdul Karim Copyright (c) 2026 Rd Khilal, Abdus Salam, Abdul Karim https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-08-06 2026-08-06 6 1 47 63 10.51192/jurnalmanajemenpendidikanislam.v6i1.2597 BUGIS CULTURE-BASED LEADERSHIP IN ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOLS IN TRANSFORMING STUDENTS’ RELIGIOUS CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT: A STUDY AT DDI UJUNG LARE ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOL, PAREPARE https://jurnal.iuqibogor.ac.id/tadbiruna/article/view/2654
This study aims to analyze pesantren leadership based on Bugis cultural values in transforming the religious character of students at DDI Ujung Lare Islamic Boarding School, Parepare. The primary focus of this research lies in how Bugis cultural values such as siri’, lempu’, sipakatau, and pacce are integrated into leadership practices and their impact on shaping students’ religious character. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected through interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The informants consisted of the pesantren leader, teachers, dormitory supervisors, and students. Data analysis was conducted interactively through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the school leadership functions not only as a policymaker but also as a primary role model in the internalization of religious values. This exemplary leadership is reflected in active involvement in religious activities, consistency between words and actions, and a humanistic and participatory communication style. The integration of Bugis cultural values in leadership is evident in the application of lempu’ (honesty and integrity), sipakatau (mutual respect), pacce (social empathy), and siri’ (discipline and self-respect). These values are not merely taught theoretically but are also implemented in the daily practices of the pesantren. Bugis culture-based leadership has proven effective in fostering a strong and sustainable religious culture. This is reflected in the habituation of worship practices, ethical social interactions, and increased student participation in religious and social activities. The process of value internalization occurs through habituation, observation, and imitation of the behaviors demonstrated by leaders and the pesantren environment. Furthermore, adaptive and persuasive leadership contributes to social stability, minimizes conflict, and fosters harmonious relationships among leaders, teachers, and students. In conclusion, this study affirms that pesantren leadership grounded in Bugis cultural values plays a strategic role in transforming students’ religious character. The integration of local cultural values into leadership practices serves as an effective model for contextual character education, rooted in local wisdom and relevant in addressing the challenges of modernization. Theoretically, this study enriches the discourse on culturally grounded educational leadership by integrating Bugis local wisdom into character education, while practically it provides a contextual leadership model that can be adopted by Islamic boarding schools and other educational institutions to strengthen students’ religious character through local cultural values
Abdul Malik Nurhayati Wirani Aisiyah Anwar A. The purpose of this study is to analyze the values of anti-bullying education in Ar-Rahiq al-Makhtum and contextualize it in the implementation of moral education in Islamic educational institutions. This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of library research through documentation techniques on primary and secondary sources, which are analyzed using content analysis and thematic analysis. The results of the study show that the practice of bullying has occurred since the early days of Islam in the form of verbal, physical, social, and economic violence that is systemic in nature. The prophetic response to bullying is carried out through the internalization of the values of patience, tawakkal, and forgiveness that are preventive and transformative. In addition, the concept of Arkanuddin (faith, Islam, ihsan) serves as an integrative framework in forming non-aggressive behavior. This study concludes that anti-bullying values in Sirah Nabawiyah have conceptual and applicative relevance in modern moral education through an exemplary approach, habituation, and internalization of values
Nurwahida Abdurrahman Samsuddin Muhammad Naji Bulloh Mowafg Masuwd Copyright (c) 2026 Nurwahida, Abdurrahman Getteng, St. Wardah Hanafie Das, Mahsyar Idris https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-08-07 2026-08-07 6 1 108 117 10.51192/jurnalmanajemenpendidikanislam.v6i1.2598 CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT FOR CROSS-MADHHAB FIQH INSTRUCTION IN MODERN ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOLS https://jurnal.iuqibogor.ac.id/tadbiruna/article/view/2567
Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) in Indonesia, particularly in Banten, play a central role in transmitting Islamic knowledge, especially fiqh. However, the dominance of a single school of thought often results in limited exposure to diverse Islamic legal perspectives. This study aims to: (1) examine the philosophical foundation for developing cross-madhhab fiqh materials in modern pesantren based on the Kulliyatul Mu‘allimin al-Islamiyyah (KMI) system; (2) analyze the current implementation of cross-madhhab fiqh learning in Banten; and (3) formulate a systematic development model. Using a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the Dick and Carey model, the study followed ten stages from needs analysis to field testing. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires, and analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The findings show that the philosophical foundation of cross-madhhab learning is rooted in religious moderation, respect for classical jurisprudence, and responsiveness to contemporary needs. However, implementation remains limited, often confined to final-grade students and dominated by the Bahtsul Masail method. The proposed model integrates fiqh muqaran (comparative), maqasid al-shari‘ah, and problem-based learning, supported by cross-madhhab references and case-based evaluation. This article examines how five terms, adab, Bitterness, nervous tension, a nation, and honor, move from classical lexicographical memory into modern and digital Arabic discourse. It asks whether semantic change in Arabic cultural vocabulary is better understood as replacement or as layered recontextualization. The study employs a qualitative quantitative diachronic corpus design comparing classical Arabic lexicographical sources with modern and digital Arabic corpora. The analysis integrates lexical identification, derivational mapping, contextual reading, frequency distribution, collocation analysis, and semantic classification. The findings reveal three recurrent patterns. First, classical meanings persist as cultural memory rather than disappearing. Second, several terms expand into institutional, political, academic, and digital domains. Third, some terms undergo evaluative reorientation in contemporary usage. Adab shifts from moral refinement and etiquette toward literature, criticism, and academic cultural production, while retaining ethical associations. Muruah preserves its moral charge but becomes less productive in broad modern use. Children moves from social cohesion toward critical associations with tribalism, sectarianism, and political exclusivism. Phenomena such as poor emotional control, interpersonal conflict among students, cyberbullying, crises of meaning, and the weakening internalization of religious values demonstrate that educational success cannot be measured solely by cognitive aspects, it also requires the ability to manage emotions and cultivate spirituality. Consequently, integrating PAI values with guidance and counseling approaches has become a strategic necessity for achieving holistic education. This study aims to conceptually analyze the integration of PAI values and guidance and counseling in strengthening students emotional and spiritual intelligence. A qualitative approach utilizing library research methods was employed. Data were gathered through a critical review of relevant books and scholarly articles, followed by analysis using content analysis, data reduction, thematic categorization, interpretation, and conceptual synthesis. As a form of traditional oral poetry, seloka not only reflects the beauty of language but also conveys deep meaning and embodies cultural values passed down from generation to generation. This research aims to explore various aspects contained in the Jambi Malay Traditional verses, including language structure, social function, and cultural value content. This research uses an ethnographic qualitative research approach. This research was conducted in the Jambi City Region. The data collection techniques use documentation, interviews, and observation. Data analysis in this research includes interview notes, data reduction, analysis, data interpretation, and triangulation. The results of the research show that Pragmatic discourse shows that the Jambi Malay Marriage Traditional Seloko, both in terms of text, context, and co text, has the characteristics of Malay oral literature of its time, which regulates values. Traditional speech in the discourse aspect is full of implicit meanings and complex social functions, where the sentences often contain the meaning of requests for the good intentions of the men to be accepted, but are delivered in the form of indirect statements. The meaning system functions to build social relationships, represent cultural experiences, and regulate interactions in the context of customs. From a pedagogical perspective, SAP material is relevant to support the cognitive and psychosocial development of students, especially in schools that are in the phase of searching for identity and forming self worth. Research on developmental psychology and multicultural education confirms that the integration of local culture in learning can improve students understanding of the teaching material, strengthen cultural identity, and support the formation of healthy moral and social behavior. Thus, SAP has great potential as a learning resource based on local wisdom and as a vehicle for preserving regional culture through education. The integration of SAP into the curriculum can be done through two main approaches: (1) a curricular approach in Indonesian subjects by utilizing SAP as local text material, and (2) the Strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile (P5) project approach with the theme of preserving Jambi Malay culture. These two approaches enable SAP to function not only as an object of linguistic study but also as a means of strengthening character, values education, and preserving regional culture that is structured in schools
Mohd. Universities are no longer viewed merely as institutions responsible for teaching and knowledge dissemination, but also as knowledge-based organizations capable of creating, managing, and transforming knowledge into institutional capacity. This article aims to examine the process of building a learning organization at Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Indonesia (UNUSIA) through the perspectives of organizational governance and knowledge ecology. This study employs a qualitative approach using a reflective organizational autoethnography method. The data were derived from the author's organizational experiences and involvement in UNUSIA’s institutional dynamics, participatory observations of academic governance practices, and analysis of institutional documents. Data were analyzed thematically using the theoretical perspectives of learning organization, organizational learning, and knowledge ecology. The findings reveal that the development of a learning organization at UNUSIA is implemented through several strategic practices. First, the application of the Administrative Centralization and Academic Decentralization (SADA) principle establishes a balance between university-wide administrative efficiency and academic innovation at the faculty level. Second, the development of the SIANAS academic information system functions as a digital knowledge ecology that supports information integration, academic documentation, and data-driven decision-making. Third, strengthening human resource capacity through faculty development programs, research activities, community engagement, and scholarly publications contributes to the growth of an academic learning culture. Fourth, collaborative communication practices among academic actors serve as a space for collective learning and organizational reflection. Tapa Malenggang is a Malay oral tradition originating from the Batanghari River region, Jambi, which contains cultural, ecological, and moral values related to environmental conservation. However, its oral form, characterized by lengthy narration, repetitive expressions, and symbolic language, makes it less accessible to contemporary child readers. This research employed a qualitative approach using Design and Development Research (DDR). Data were obtained from two video recordings of Tapa Malenggang performances in 2017 and 2019, supported by transliterations of the performances and relevant literature. Data analysis was conducted through narrative reconstruction based on Ruth Finnegan's oral performance perspective and didactic adaptation using Julie Sanders' adaptation theory. The findings reveal that the performance structure of Tapa Malenggang consists of opening, narration, and closing stages, while its narrative structure consists of ten major episodes forming a journey pattern. The reconstruction results indicate that the story represents a process of ecological awareness development through encounters with various symbolic figures. The didactic adaptation process involved five stages: identifying adaptable elements, adapting the story structure, adapting language, adapting values, and designing the picture storybook. The final product is a B3-level children's picture storybook entitled Tapa Malenggang and the Batanghari River Guard , which presents local wisdom and river conservation values through a narrative and visual format appropriate to the cognitive development of children aged 8–10 years. This qualitative research employs a case study method in South Tangerang City, utilizing in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document studies for data collection. The results reveal that urban modernity does not erode religiosity but rather spawns commodified piety, where religious texts are reinterpreted into institutionalized empowerment philanthropy. Sociologically, the roots of generosity in South Tangerang reflect a strong "cosmopolitan-professional" identity driven by white-collar workers within elite residential ecosystems. Philanthropic practices in this region demand corporate-level transparency and are increasingly shifting toward non-financial volunteerism driven by hobbies and digitalization. It is important to study these dynamics because private vocational schools often suffer from severe resource constraints and fluctuating institutional support, and the survival of the institution depends heavily on teachers’ voluntary willingness to contribute beyond formal job boundaries. The findings of this study indicate that the Support Vector Machine (SVM) model with an RBF kernel provides the best predictive performance. We tested three supervised machine learning algorithms with kuesioner data on an 80:20 split with an optimal Accuracy of 73.91% and an excellent classification ROC AUC Score of 80.91%. This beats the Random Forest Classifier (69.57% Accuracy, 78.64% ROC AUC) and the Gradient Boosting Classifier (69.57% Accuracy, 76.75% ROC AUC). Furthermore, our feature importance evaluations consistently show that School Climate (Z1) is the most important anchor and sensitive predictor of teacher voluntarism, followed by Principals’ Emotional Support (X1) and Recognition and Appreciation (X2). The values of local cultural wisdom such as Gotong Royong (X3) and Honesty Values (X4) are the highly stable baseline structural predictors within the non-linear decision boundaries. Future work should extend this predictive framework by incorporating advanced deep learning models and longitudinal behavior tracking across a diverse array of public and private school networks to further refine data-driven educational policymaking
Agustin Wijayani Sri Setyaningsih Copyright (c) 2026 Agustin Wijayani, Sri Setyaningsih https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-08-30 2026-08-30 6 1 332 346 10.51192/jurnalmanajemenpendidikanislam.v6i1.2901 THE EFFECTS OF COLLABORATION EFFECTIVENESS, TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP, AND ICT LITERACY ON TEACHER CREATIVITY: THE MEDIATING ROLE OF KNOWLEDGE SHARING https://jurnal.iuqibogor.ac.id/tadbiruna/article/view/2907
Teacher creativity plays an important role in fostering innovative and meaningful learning; however, strengthening teacher creativity remains a challenge in Private Islamic Elementary Schools (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Swasta) in Bogor City, Indonesia. This study aims to develop and examine a model for strengthening teacher creativity through the POP-SDM (Modeling and Optimization of Management Resource Strengthening) approach. A sequential exploratory mixed-method design was employed, beginning with a qualitative phase to identify the dominant factors associated with teacher creativity, followed by a quantitative survey involving 248 teachers and path analysis, and subsequently supported by SITOREM analysis to identify priority areas for improvement. The findings indicate that collaboration effectiveness, transformational leadership, ICT literacy, and knowledge sharing contribute positively and significantly to teacher creativity. Among these factors, knowledge sharing emerges as the most influential factor and also plays an important mediating role in strengthening the contribution of collaboration effectiveness, transformational leadership, and ICT literacy to teacher creativity. SITOREM analysis further identifies several priority indicators that require systematic improvement and can serve as a foundation for developing targeted strategies. The study concludes that strengthening teacher creativity requires an integrated approach that simultaneously develops collaborative practices, transformational leadership, ICT literacy, and knowledge-sharing processes, with knowledge sharing functioning as a central mechanism for fostering a more creative and innovative teaching environment.
Fuzna Nur Aqilah Soewarto Hardhienata Eka Suhardi Copyright (c) 2026 Fuzna Nur Aqilah, Soewarto Hardhienata, Eka Suhardi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-08-30 2026-08-30 6 1 347 362 10.51192/jurnalmanajemenpendidikanislam.v6i1.2907 MADRASAH BASED ISLAMIC EDUCATION MODEL EXCELS IN INCREASING THE COMPETITIVENESS OF ISLAMIC EDUCATION IN BANTEN PROVINCE https://jurnal.iuqibogor.ac.id/tadbiruna/article/view/2683
This study aims to formulate a model of Islamic Education based on excellent madrasahs for improving the competitiveness of Islamic education in Banten Province.
