The issue of bank interest is an issue that continues to be debated in Islamic economic discourse because it is related to the practice of usury, the development of the modern financial system, and the public's need for banking institutions. This research uses a qualitative approach with a type of library research and a normative-philosophical approach. Data were obtained from official documents of Muhammadiyah, fatwa of the Tarjih and Tajdid Councils, scientific journals, books, and relevant academic articles. The data collection technique is carried out through documentation and literature study, while the data analysis technique uses data reduction, classification, interpretation, and drawing conclusions in a deductive-analytical manner. The results of the study show that Muhammadiyah views bank interest as an ijtihadiyah issue that is decided through the bayani, burhani, and istislahi approaches. Muhammadiyah tends to prohibit bank interest because it is considered to have additional elements that are close to usury, but still considers the benefits and socio-economic conditions of modern society. The findings of the study show that there is a moderate ijtihad pattern of Muhammadiyah that seeks to integrate normative texts with contemporary economic realities. This research contributes to the development of an Islamic economic ijtihad methodology that is more adaptive to the dynamics of the modern financial system.
Ana Cahayani Fatimah, Waode Kasriawati Bakari, Fatmawaty Padedeng, Suwarno Djodding, Mahsyar Idris Copyright (c) 2026 Ana Cahayani Fatimah, Waode Kasriawati Bakari, Fatmawaty Padedeng, Suwarno Djodding, Mahsyar Idris https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.iuqibogor.ac.id/tadbiruna/article/view/2694 Thu, 06 Aug 2026 00:00:00 +0000 EPISTOMOLOGICAL APPROACH AND FIQH TEACHING: BAYANI, BURHANI AND IRFANI CONCEPTS APPLIED AT THE TERTIARY LEVEL https://jurnal.iuqibogor.ac.id/tadbiruna/article/view/2502
This research aims to explain the concepts of bayani, burhani and irfani which are integrated into fiqh learning in the Al-Islam muhammadiyahan course at UMJ. The results of the study indicate that: 1)Internalization of Aswaja values ( tawassuth, tawazun, tasamuh, i'tidal ) functions as a governance principle that frames decision-making and organizational culture. 2)The organizational structure and governance are hybrid, combining the moral-charismatic authority of kiai with the formal governance of the foundation and the differentiation of educational units. 3) The Kiai's leadership pattern is charismatic - participatory through deliberation and delegation of authority in a synergistic relationship with the foundation and unit leaders. 4)The implementation of management functions (planning, organizing, implementing, monitoring-evaluation) is carried out systematically within the framework of Aswaja values with administrative and moral accountability. 5)The modernization adaptation strategy takes place selectively through strengthening accreditation, limited digitalization, improving human resources, and quality management, without eliminating the NU identity
Rd Khilal, Abdus Salam, Abdul Karim Copyright (c) 2026 Rd Khilal, Abdus Salam, Abdul Karim https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.iuqibogor.ac.id/tadbiruna/article/view/2597 Thu, 06 Aug 2026 00:00:00 +0000 BUGIS CULTURE-BASED LEADERSHIP IN ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOLS IN TRANSFORMING STUDENTS’ RELIGIOUS CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT: A STUDY AT DDI UJUNG LARE ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOL, PAREPARE https://jurnal.iuqibogor.ac.id/tadbiruna/article/view/2654
This study aims to analyze pesantren leadership based on Bugis cultural values in transforming the religious character of students at DDI Ujung Lare Islamic Boarding School, Parepare. The primary focus of this research lies in how Bugis cultural values such as siri’, lempu’, sipakatau, and pacce are integrated into leadership practices and their impact on shaping students’ religious character. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected through interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The informants consisted of the pesantren leader, teachers, dormitory supervisors, and students. Data analysis was conducted interactively through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the school leadership functions not only as a policymaker but also as a primary role model in the internalization of religious values. This exemplary leadership is reflected in active involvement in religious activities, consistency between words and actions, and a humanistic and participatory communication style. The integration of Bugis cultural values in leadership is evident in the application of lempu’ (honesty and integrity), sipakatau (mutual respect), pacce (social empathy), and siri’ (discipline and self-respect). These values are not merely taught theoretically but are also implemented in the daily practices of the pesantren. Bugis culture-based leadership has proven effective in fostering a strong and sustainable religious culture. This is reflected in the habituation of worship practices, ethical social interactions, and increased student participation in religious and social activities. The process of value internalization occurs through habituation, observation, and imitation of the behaviors demonstrated by leaders and the pesantren environment. Furthermore, adaptive and persuasive leadership contributes to social stability, minimizes conflict, and fosters harmonious relationships among leaders, teachers, and students. In conclusion, this study affirms that pesantren leadership grounded in Bugis cultural values plays a strategic role in transforming students’ religious character. The integration of local cultural values into leadership practices serves as an effective model for contextual character education, rooted in local wisdom and relevant in addressing the challenges of modernization. Theoretically, this study enriches the discourse on culturally grounded educational leadership by integrating Bugis local wisdom into character education, while practically it provides a contextual leadership model that can be adopted by Islamic boarding schools and other educational institutions to strengthen students’ religious character through local cultural values
Abdul Malik, Nurhayati, Wirani Aisiyah Anwar, A. The purpose of this study is to analyze the values of anti-bullying education in Ar-Rahiq al-Makhtum and contextualize it in the implementation of moral education in Islamic educational institutions. This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of library research through documentation techniques on primary and secondary sources, which are analyzed using content analysis and thematic analysis. The results of the study show that the practice of bullying has occurred since the early days of Islam in the form of verbal, physical, social, and economic violence that is systemic in nature. The prophetic response to bullying is carried out through the internalization of the values of patience, tawakkal, and forgiveness that are preventive and transformative. In addition, the concept of Arkanuddin (faith, Islam, ihsan) serves as an integrative framework in forming non-aggressive behavior. This study concludes that anti-bullying values in Sirah Nabawiyah have conceptual and applicative relevance in modern moral education through an exemplary approach, habituation, and internalization of values
Nurwahida, Abdurrahman Getteng, St. Wardah Hanafie Das, Mahsyar Idris Copyright (c) 2026 Nurwahida, Abdurrahman Getteng, St. Wardah Hanafie Das, Mahsyar Idris https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.iuqibogor.ac.id/tadbiruna/article/view/2598 Fri, 07 Aug 2026 00:00:00 +0000 CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT FOR CROSS-MADHHAB FIQH INSTRUCTION IN MODERN ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOLS https://jurnal.iuqibogor.ac.id/tadbiruna/article/view/2567
Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) in Indonesia, particularly in Banten, play a central role in transmitting Islamic knowledge, especially fiqh. However, the dominance of a single school of thought often results in limited exposure to diverse Islamic legal perspectives. This study aims to: (1) examine the philosophical foundation for developing cross-madhhab fiqh materials in modern pesantren based on the Kulliyatul Mu‘allimin al-Islamiyyah (KMI) system; (2) analyze the current implementation of cross-madhhab fiqh learning in Banten; and (3) formulate a systematic development model. Using a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the Dick and Carey model, the study followed ten stages from needs analysis to field testing. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires, and analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The findings show that the philosophical foundation of cross-madhhab learning is rooted in religious moderation, respect for classical jurisprudence, and responsiveness to contemporary needs. However, implementation remains limited, often confined to final-grade students and dominated by the Bahtsul Masail method. The proposed model integrates fiqh muqaran (comparative), maqasid al-shari‘ah, and problem-based learning, supported by cross-madhhab references and case-based evaluation. This article examines how five terms, adab, Bitterness, nervous tension, a nation, and honor, move from classical lexicographical memory into modern and digital Arabic discourse. It asks whether semantic change in Arabic cultural vocabulary is better understood as replacement or as layered recontextualization. The study employs a qualitative quantitative diachronic corpus design comparing classical Arabic lexicographical sources with modern and digital Arabic corpora. The analysis integrates lexical identification, derivational mapping, contextual reading, frequency distribution, collocation analysis, and semantic classification. The findings reveal three recurrent patterns. First, classical meanings persist as cultural memory rather than disappearing. Second, several terms expand into institutional, political, academic, and digital domains. Third, some terms undergo evaluative reorientation in contemporary usage. Adab shifts from moral refinement and etiquette toward literature, criticism, and academic cultural production, while retaining ethical associations. Muruah preserves its moral charge but becomes less productive in broad modern use. Children moves from social cohesion toward critical associations with tribalism, sectarianism, and political exclusivism. Ummah expands from religious community to transnational, nationalist, and geopolitical identity. Sharaf retains honor while entering contested professional, national, gendered, and symbolic contexts. The article argues that Arabic semantic change is layered, culturally embedded, and empirically traceable through corpus evidence. Data collection methods comprised in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis, with data analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The study identified four primary strategies: (1) leveraging social media to disseminate positive content on religious moderation, (2) implementing discussion-based learning to foster open dialogue, (3) modeling moderate attitudes and behaviors by teachers, and (4) integrating moderation values into lesson plans (RPP). Supporting factors included the availability of information technology resources and teacher training, while inhibiting factors encompass low digital literacy, exposure to negative online content, and students’ limited concern due to a lack of role models in their environment. These results highlighted the necessity of integrating pedagogical strategies with supportive educational environments to enhance students’ religious moderation in the digital era
Ayit Irpani, Yani Astuti, Irpan, Silmi Amrullah Copyright (c) 2026 Ayit Irpani, Yani Astuti, Irpan, Silmi Amrullah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.iuqibogor.ac.id/tadbiruna/article/view/2566 Fri, 07 Aug 2026 00:00:00 +0000 THE INFLUENCE OF MANAGERIAL COMPETENCE OF SCHOOL PRINCIPALS AND TEACHER PERFORMANCE ON THE QUALITY OF PUBLIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS IN WARUREJA DISTRICT, TEGAL REGENCY https://jurnal.iuqibogor.ac.id/tadbiruna/article/view/2522
The quality of primary schools in Indonesia continues to face considerable challenges, as evidenced by the 2025 Education Report Card data from Warureja District, Tegal Regency, which reveals uneven achievement in literacy, numeracy, and learning process quality. This study analyzes the dynamics of kiai charismatic leadership in driving pesantren organizational transformation and develops the concept of managed charisma as a leadership regeneration model within Islamic education management. Employing a phenomenological approach with multiple case studies at four pesantren two salaf-transformative pesantren in East Java and two modern-combination pesantren in Central Java data were collected through in-depth interviews with 18 informants, three-month cumulative participatory observation (March–August 2024), and institutional document analysis. An epoché procedure was applied to ensure phenomenological objectivity. Findings reveal that kiai charisma derives from three pillars: 'ilmu (scholarly depth), 'amal (consistent practice), and karamah (spiritual distinction). The central contribution is the conceptualization of "managed charisma" a model enabling the preservation of charismatic essence through three institutional mechanisms: value codification, authority distribution, and ritualization of leadership practices. Unlike Weber's routinization of charisma which implies charismatic erosion, this model offers operational guidance for pesantren leadership succession management, with direct implications for innovative management of Islamic educational institutions
Muhammad Irfanudin Kurniawan, Gugun Gunadi, Samsirin, Afaf Saifullah Kamalie Copyright (c) 2026 Muhammad Irfanudin Kurniawan, Gugun Gunadi, Samsirin, Afaf Saifullah Kamalie https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.iuqibogor.ac.id/tadbiruna/article/view/2537 Mon, 10 Aug 2026 00:00:00 +0000
