Abstract

Universities are often defined as the engine of economic development, so the role of universities is expected to increase the income of the surrounding population. The purpose of this study was to see the difference in the average income of the population before the establishment of the college and after the establishment of universities in Leuwimekar Village. To see the difference in the average income of the population before the establishment of the college and after the establishment of universities then it can be solved by through the T test, as well as to look at the factors that affect the average income of the population through case studies of MSMEs in Leuwimekar Village using OLS. The results of the T test showed a difference in respondents' income before and after the establishment of IUQI by 32.2%, which means that on average the respondent's income increased by 32.2%. And the results of data processing by OLS method showed that the variable ln modal had no positive effect on the average income of respondents with a coefficient value of 0.032972 at a real level of 5%, as well as variable distance ln with a coefficient value of -0.161506 at a level of 5% had no positive effect on the average income of respondents
