Abstract

The growing moral decadence and the decline of ethical values across various segments of society have become critical issues that demand serious attention from the educational sphere, particularly Islamic education. Education serves not only as a process of knowledge transmission but also as a means of shaping character, spirituality, and moral integrity. This study analyzes educational management from the Qur’anic perspective through the story of Prophet Musa and Prophet Khidr (Qur’an, Surah Al-Kahf: 60–82), focusing on managerial and pedagogical values as well as their relevance to contemporary Islamic education. Using a qualitative method through thematic exegesis and literature review of Qur’anic verses, classical and modern tafsir, and educational and management literature, this research identifies five key values in educational management: spiritually based planning, learning implementation grounded in manners and patience, wise leadership, reflective evaluation, and social values such as empowerment and justice. The findings underscore the importance of integrating spiritual, ethical, and humanistic dimensions into Islamic educational management to build an effective, just, and human-centered system aimed at developing balanced individuals with noble character.
