Abstract
Current developments in digital technology have had a major impact on the lives of young children, including in the formation of character through viewing social media such as Youtube. This phenomenon is a cause for concern because many children imitate negative behavior from age-inappropriate content due to a lack of parental supervision. This study focuses on the role of parents in guiding the moral development of young children so that they are not negatively influenced by Youtube content. The purpose of this study is to determine parents' views on the influence of Youtube, the forms of guidance provided, and the impact on children's behavior. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation at the Kuncup Cendekia Islamic School Early Childhood Education Center. The results of the study show that Youtube has both positive and negative influences depending on the pattern of parental guidance. Children who receive active guidance from their parents show good moral development, while children without guidance tend to imitate inappropriate behavior and are easily influenced by inappropriate content.
