THE EFFECTS OF COLLABORATION EFFECTIVENESS, TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP, AND ICT LITERACY ON TEACHER CREATIVITY: THE MEDIATING ROLE OF KNOWLEDGE SHARING

Abstract

Teacher creativity plays an important role in fostering innovative and meaningful learning; however, strengthening teacher creativity remains a challenge in Private Islamic Elementary Schools (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Swasta) in Bogor City, Indonesia. This study aims to develop and examine a model for strengthening teacher creativity through the POP-SDM (Modeling and Optimization of Management Resource Strengthening) approach. A sequential exploratory mixed-method design was employed, beginning with a qualitative phase to identify the dominant factors associated with teacher creativity, followed by a quantitative survey involving 248 teachers and path analysis, and subsequently supported by SITOREM analysis to identify priority areas for improvement. The findings indicate that collaboration effectiveness, transformational leadership, ICT literacy, and knowledge sharing contribute positively and significantly to teacher creativity. Among these factors, knowledge sharing emerges as the most influential factor and also plays an important mediating role in strengthening the contribution of collaboration effectiveness, transformational leadership, and ICT literacy to teacher creativity. SITOREM analysis further identifies several priority indicators that require systematic improvement and can serve as a foundation for developing targeted strategies. The study concludes that strengthening teacher creativity requires an integrated approach that simultaneously develops collaborative practices, transformational leadership, ICT literacy, and knowledge-sharing processes, with knowledge sharing functioning as a central mechanism for fostering a more creative and innovative teaching environment.
