Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out majaz in Arabic and Indonesian both in terms of similarities and differences from each side. The research steps taken by the author, namely identifying the subject and all data, establishing methods, finding data, analyzing data, and concluding from research. The method used in this research is descriptive method and the reverse method. With the help of research, the authors take the results that majaz in Arabic and Indonesian are the same in one way and two are different in the face, they are the same because both of them use the word without the original meaning. There are two different parts, not all majaz in Arabic show metaphors in Indonesian and the opposite. Among the similarities and differences in the previous data can be filled and influenced by the spread of the following languages, which in Arabic can be used to develop and reverse Indonesian
