Abstract

Academic stress is a major psychological challenge among Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education (PGMI) students due to high academic demands and limited holistic intervention models. This study aimed to develop and evaluate a holistic intervention model integrating cognitive, emotional, social, and spiritual dimensions to strengthen students' academic resilience. Using a Research and Development approach with the ADDIE model, an eight-session intervention module incorporating mindfulness, problem-focused coping, emotion-focused coping, Islamic religious coping, and social skills was developed, validated by experts (95.6%, highly feasible), and implemented with 30 PGMI students using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The findings revealed a significant reduction in academic stress scores from 130.17 to 64.73 (t = 28.608; p = 0.000), accompanied by improvements in self-awareness, emotion regulation, spirituality, and social support. These results demonstrate that the developed model is valid, practical, and effective in reducing academic stress while enhancing academic resilience among prospective elementary school teachers.
