Abstract

Education is a process where humans will be guided and to form their identity in order to become a better person and beneficial to the state and religion. A person will begin to build the framework of his life to be quality based on his knowledge after his education is guided, directed and equipped with sufficient theory about how he lives his life. The reality that occurs in the learning process in the classroom is sometimes stiff and unpleasant so that students become less enthusiastic in the learning process. Therefore, educators are required to make the classroom atmosphere fun so that students become happy during the learning process. This study aims to increase students' interest in learning in Civics subjects using a role playing learning model. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with classroom action research design. The results of this research can be concluded that after the researchers carried out two research cycles, the interest in learning of second grade students at MI Ibnu Aqil increased and students became excited during the learning process
