ANALISIS PEMAHAMAN GURU TENTANG KONSEP HAKIKAT IPA DAN PENGARUHNYA TERHADAP SIKAP ILMIAH SISWA

Abstrak
An understanding of the natural science becomes an important foundation in the process of natural science learning. Learning of natural science is inseparable from the dimension of the process as a skill, ability to master the product of science, and developing of scientific attitudes. The formating of students' scientific attitudes is in line with the teacher's understanding of the natural science. Lack of teacher understanding about natural science has an impact on the non-growth of scientific attitudes that underlie student behavior.. This research has two objectives. First, analyzing and describing the teacher's understanding of natural science. The second, describing the correlation between teacher understanding of natural science and its influence on student’s scientific attitudes. Data collection is done by tests and open questionnaires for teacher understanding of natural sciences and questionnaires for scientific attitudes. The sample of this study was six teachers of natural science and the students whom sit at fourth and fifth grade, that totally 74 students. The results of the study concluded that the teacher's level of understanding of natural science is theoretically included in the poor category (average score of test is 4.67), but in the learning process in class, the teacher has implemented the skills of process in learning of natural science. This process influence to the scientific attitude of students. And all Scientific attitudes have been formed on every indicator. But the implementation process of skills which are not accompanied by a teacher's understanding of natural science properly, influencing the formatting of student’s scientific attitudes
