Abstract

The lack of Qur'anic memorization can have a significant impact on individuals, families, communities and nations. In fact, scholars base their knowledge on a strong foundation of Qur'anic memorization. Nowadays, active support from parents is very important in increasing children's motivation and success in memorizing the Qur'an. This study aims to determine parental support, the ability to memorize the Qur'an and the relationship between parental support and the ability to memorize the Qur'an of grade VI students at MIs Hidayatusshibyan Bogor Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach and correlation method, with a sample size of 42 students and prerequisite tests carried out in the form of: validity test and reliability test with hypothesis testing using product moment correlation test. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between parental support and the ability to memorize the Qur'an. This is shown in the results of correlation testing which obtained a coefficient value of r = 0.565 and sig value. (2-tailed) p=0.000 which states that the interpretation between the parental support variable and the ability to memorize the Qur'an of students there is a positive and significant relationship
