Abstract

The advancement of 21st-century education necessitates the transformation of assessment systems to address the complexities of modern learning, which emphasize not only academic achievement but also the development of higher-order thinking skills. This study aims to analyze innovative assessment models that effectively support 21st-century learning. The method employed is a literature review, examining theories, empirical studies, and practical implementation of assessments in schools, providing a comprehensive understanding of the effectiveness of various assessment models. The findings indicate that authentic assessment, project-based assessment, portfolios, and digital technologies can enrich learning experiences, enhance students’ intrinsic motivation, and provide a more comprehensive view of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor development. These innovative assessments function not merely as measurement tools but also as instruments to cultivate 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication. In conclusion, adopting creative and adaptive assessment models is a strategic approach to achieving education that is relevant, responsive, and future-oriented. This study emphasizes the need for consistent integration of assessment innovations into teaching practices to make learning more meaningful and to support students in achieving holistic competencies
