PERAN PENDIDIK DALAM PENGEMBANGAN KARAKTER DISIPLIN PESERTA DIDIK DI MAN 2 KOTA BOGOR

Abstract
Character education in discipline for students at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Kota Bogor (MAN 2) is crucial in shaping personal resilience and good morals. This study aims to analyze the role of educators in developing students' disciplinary character at MAN 2, as well as the strategies implemented to address disciplinary violations. The research method used is qualitative descriptive research with a case study approach, utilizing interviews, observations, and documentation as data collection techniques. The results show that the role of educators as role models is essential in instilling discipline, with the implementation of positive routines such as flag ceremonies and morning assemblies. However, challenges such as peer influence and inconsistency in enforcing rules remain obstacles. It is recommended to increase parental involvement in supporting discipline, as well as strengthen monitoring systems and consistency in rule enforcement. Further research is suggested to explore the impact of external factors, such as social media, on students' discipline
